“I saw six men kicking and punching the mother-in-law. My neighbour said ‘Are you going to help?’ I said ‘No, six should be enough.’” Les Dawson
Haven’t posted a newsflash in quite some time, and for those who don’t know, it’s a short post of a bloggable event about blogging.
I was fiddling with another post last night, when my son walked in and in his best imitation of a Phineas and Ferb character asked: “What ya doin?”
They know I write stories for them, and after stating the obvious, he nonchalantly asked whether he could read one or two. After recovering from a minor stroke, I clicked nervously and in a few seconds the blog page was up.
He picked one and we started reading it together, him on my lap. He giggled over the content and commented on the pictures.
I kept on asking myself: Is this really happening? Is this really happening? It was so much better than that other thing men do so well. But then I climaxed because…
When he finished reading three posts, he jumped off, and just before leaving the room said:
“Dad, they are really good.”
I love him so much more today.
